2008/9  Hervey bay Sailing Club Queensland

Hervey Bay Sailing Club will host the National Titles between 27th December 2008 and 4th January 2009

Hervey Bay Sailing Club is situated on a beautiful 7 km white sandy beach, facing North, in the delightful City of Hervey Bay, three and a half hours North of Brisbane. It's protected by the magnificant Heritage listed Fraser Island, making for an excellent sailing venue, that has been utilised by the Club over the last 30 yrs. A great location for sailing and holidaying.  

Fraser Island Trip – New Years Day. 

IFAA have negotiated a discount price for a full day tour of Fraser Island on New Years Day.The trip will leave from White Crest Apartments at 7:25am with a second pickup at the sailing club.  From there the bus will travel to River Heads and across to Fraser Island.  

The day will include:

Stop at Central Station,

Walk along banks of Wanggoolba Creesk,

Travel up 75 Mile Beach, visiting Coloured Sands and the wreck of the Maheno,

Dingo spotting,

Swim in Eli Creek,

Swim in Lake McKenzie, and

Hot and cold buffet lunch at Eurong Beach Resort.

The tour returns to Hervey Bay, at approximately 5:30pm.

The usual prices are $155.00 for adults and $95.00 for kids. 

We have negotiated a rate of $116.00 per adult and $85.50 per child.
